Users are allowed to change the handset only once in a month (i.e. after 30/31 days) in case of having active/valid ticket.
To restrict the duplication of UTS paperless ticket, utsonmobile application was designed in a way to show active ticket(s) on one mobile device at a time by binding the ticket with mobile device. However, the users are allowed to change the handset in the following ways mentioned below.
1. Existing Mobile Handset is available and in working condition
a. If user is not having active/valid ticket(s)
User can change the handset by simply login to the new handset with an OTP validation.
b. If user is having active/valid tickets(s)
The steps to change the mobile handset are as follows:
i. If the user initiates the change handset request from the existing mobile device.
a. Open the utsonmobile app from old handset.
b. Select Profile option -> select Change Handset -> select OK to proceed.
c. Download the utsonmobile application in the new mobile device.
d. Login using the same user id in the new handset with OTP validation
e. Book new tickets.
Note:
a. All the active/valid tickets will be deleted from the old handset.
b. All the active/valid tickets booked in the old handset will be resynchronized to the new handset after 1 hour from login time in the new mobile handset.
ii. If the user initiates the change handset request from the website or the user has not initiated the change handset request, then
a. Download the utsonmobile application in the new mobile device.
b. Login using the same user id in the new handset with OTP validation
c. Book new tickets.
Note:
a. The valid journey, return and platform tickets booked in the old handset will not be available in the new handset.
b. Valid season tickets booked in the old handset will be available in the new handset only after lapse of 24 hours.
2. Mobile handset is lost/non-repairable
a. Download the utsonmobile application in the new mobile device.
b. Login using the same user id in the new handset with OTP validation
c. Book new tickets.
Note:
a. The valid journey, return and platform tickets booked in the old handset will not be available in the new handset.
b. Valid season tickets booked in the old handset will be available in the new handset only after lapse of 24 hours.
Note:
The offline mode of showing season tickets will not be available in the UTSONMOBILE application after 24 hours from the last login/data sync time with the server.
